The End of The World?

OK… so I blog about once a year, whether I need to or not.

My friend Eli wrote a blog entry to his kids a few months ago.  With 2012 releasing to DVD yesterday, Eli’s post came to mind.  I encourage you to read it.  Here’s a paragraph excerpted from it:

“First, the most obvious: The Mayan world ended a lot sooner than they themselves thought it would. Look around. No more Mayans. They’ve been gone since the 1600s, so looking to them for a prediction of the end of all things is pretty pointless. Do not be afraid.”

Thanks for the perspective Eli.  Just serves to remind us that we need to stop worrying about when the world will end and focus on doing the things we’ve been called to do.
